I have been having some problems on some on the 103c transponders. I replaced some cable ends and now have a strange problem. When I connect the suspect cable directly to my receiver I get 85+ on all transponders on 103c. But, when I connect this cable to my WB68 switch I get zeros on all of the even transponders regardless of the satellite. It would seem that the problem would be the switch, but it was working relatively fine before I replaced cable ends.

Help :)

Look into each cable end you replaced...Look for a small piece of wire scrap touching the center electrode. Remove that and all should be well.

Then look at the wb6x8.

The cable you are speaking about ....this is the one of four that runs from the dish to the multiswitch? Each of those four cables should produce good signal when connected to a receiver. Just barrel across the multiswitch one at a time.

Then connect all four lines to the wb6x8 and start doing the same thing with the numbered outputs 1-8. Each should produce the same good signal. IF one does not just use another. IF they all will not work, replace the switch.

Explain a little further. If you have all four cables from the dish connected to the multiswitch, then on your HD receiver you don't get even transponders. But, then bypass the dish with which cable from the multiswitch? Have you tried all four? Do you have a Slimline5 dish? If so, what are your signal numbers on 119 when you are missing the evens on 103?

Only one tuner on the DVR having this problem?

Do you have any other HD Receivers/DVR's in the house?
