Can I use a retired 5x8 powered multiswitch from my 3 LNB Dish Days to distribute OTA signals to 3 D* AM21's and several HD TV tuners? The multiswitch will not will not have any Sat feed going into it so I wouldn't think a diplexer would be needed at the AM21's. Pulling a seperate coax to each location would be required and is not an issue. I just want to use the old mulitiswitch as a splitter.
My current set up is:
Zinwell WB616 Multiswitch
2 - H10-250's
2 - H21-200's
2 - HR20-100's
1 - HR22-100
3 - AM21's
1 old Mitsubishi HD Box
1 old Samsung HD Box (360?)
A bunch of HD TV's

Yes you can use it. Just keep in mind their is no vhf/uhf signal amplifier with the turk model that I used for a while after the transition. So if you need the signal boosted you have to do it before or after it passes through the old multiswitch.

Thanks. I dont think I will need the signal boosted because the OTA channels worked great when using on the old 3LNB equipment and I was diplexing at the receivers. I'm not sure how sensitive the AM21's are to signal strength since I just got three of them yesterday. I'll just take a try and see approach.

You should have no problems. I am using a spaun 5x8 from my old setup to distribute an inhouse modulator system. Mine is a powered switch, so it has plenty of oomf. I had been using one of the 3x4 switches to distribute OTA when I first put up my antenna. That all worked flawlessly.
