We have our main pc (p-iv 1.6) hidden in the entertainment system and have it on and connected 24/7 (only 56k out here in the woods). We run it in 800x600 using a video capture card (radeon 7500) on a 37 inch RCA digital monitor (4x3)...
The point being is that the dish picture looks great when ran in a very small picture (400x300 or less), but it gets very soft and fuzzy when you bring it to full screen.
So ... when looking at the picture on a digital screen, you can quickly see just how little detail is making it to your screen after all of the compression.
I have not yet had the pleasure of true HD. I am quite anxious to see what I am missing.
If I were to get a "set-top" box now (instead of forever waiting for the 921) would I actually be able to see true HD from the Roanoke (local) stations ?
If so Can anyone recommend a set top box / set-up that is relatively cheap while doing the dish waiting dance  ?
