DirecTV keeps breaking up

it doesn't happen all the time but for some reason I'll be watching TV and the picture will "block up" for a second then go black then I've gotta wait for about 90 seconds while the guide reloads :flaiming

I had my system "upgraded" to a multi-sat system It happens a lot on my locals, (they're on the 101 sat right now) but I've had it happen on espn and a few other national channels,

it has nothing to do qith the weather, or my siganl strenth which is in the 89 to 91 range

Sounds to me like a receiver problem. What kind of receiver do you have?

RCA, it's brand new!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(I think, at least it looks new)

Where did you get it from? It could also be in the line, the lnbf, signal needs to be fine tuned, weather conditions other than just the receiver. I dont think the solar rays come out this time of year. How often does it do this or is it constant and does it do it on all of the channels or just some of them? What is your signal strength like and are there any trees or leaves growing in the way?
