Will Dish allow you to only have locals?

If you qualify for them. In order to, you need to be in a certian DMA (Designated Market Area). To see if you qualify, go here:

http://customersupport.dishnetwork.com/customernetqual/nqCustomerLocalsCheck.jsp

Just enter your address and zipcode. It will tell you if you are qualified to recieve local channels. If not, there is info further down on the page about the distant local channels. Good luck!

I think that your question was can you sub to just locals and no other programming? I am not certain, but I think DISH will add a monthly $5 "subscription fee" in addition to whatever the cost of the Locals that you sub to.

If you get the locals with top50 they will give you a $1 discount on the locals plus you dont have to pay the $5 fee so you save $6 total. It is $30 for that package vs. $11 if you chose to get only the locals.

Locals cost $5.99 a month.

If you do not have a basic package at all, then add $5 a month program access fee.

Total for locals only $10.99 a month.

See ya
