I have a ViP 622. On Sunday I attached an indoor antenna because I want to record a PBS special in HD and DISH locals are not HD for my PBS stations. I did a scan and got 25 local HD stations, looked at them, programmed to record the shows, etc. Today I went to view one of them and got the error about the signal being lost. I tried re-scanning and got zero found. I did a front panel reset and it came back up with the lost signal error. I checked the connections (hadn't touched anything) and tried moving the antenna around a bit. No luck. Called support, got "advanced" tech who knew nothing. I had deleted all the stations hoping a rescan would pick up but still getting zero.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Hi, and welcome... We probably need a lot more info here to give a thorough answer. If this is the first time you had connected an antenna, it's possible you were only getting marginal signals that day and now a few days later with normal atmospheric conditions (or perhaps worse) those marginal signals are gone.
I had to spend the better part of an afternoon tweaking my setup to find a reliable location for my indoor antenna.
Theoretically possible you had an OTA tuner failure... but I'd like to remove other possibilities before you go there.
Does your TV have its own digital tuner? If so, connect the local antenna directly and try it, just to narrow down the possibilities.

Thanks for the reply. I had forgotten that I played with the HDTV settings AFTER I had gotten it to work - was trying to see if they would improve the picture quality. Resetting to offair did the trick.
