hi, i did the original alignment on my dish a year or so ago but last night we had a horrible wind and today the #'s are off a bit. :(

Now my memory isn't what it used to be and i kind of forget how i went at it before.

Do i first get 101 as best as possible then tilt the dish for the 119 sat. then do the fine adjusting for 99 and 103? Does that sound about right, thanks.

ps: i'm wondering as well if i replace the 5 lnb head with the new 3 lnb head on my existing dish if it is then easier to adjust, thanks.

Chances are the only change in your alignment was azimuth (left - right). I would try adjusting azimuth first and see if it gets you back to where you need to be, then lock it down.

If that does not get your readings up, then you need to go through the full alignment procdure. The one you describe starts by peaking 101 and 119, then adjusting the dithering adjustments to maximize 99 and 103.

A 3-LNB dish is slightly easier to align, as you do not need to get 110 and 119 in alignment. But you still need to peak 101 then fine tune for 99 and 103.

thanks for the info. yeah i think the wind moved it slightly to the east as 119 and 110 have lowered quite a bit and 99 got better but 103 is a bit worse. So a slight tweak west should get me back to acceptable readings, hopefully, lol.

a good meter would work well
