Several months ago I made a service call and when they found that I had moved Direct removed my national networks and my Fox Sports support of my professional teams(Giants, Warriors, Sharks). These were replaced with the LIL(San Diego) networks and the LA sports networks, something I didn't want to happen. I opened the latest bill this morning and saw that they were still charging me for the West Coast DNA Networks at $3.50/month.
I called to have the charges removed and the rep asked if I wanted by old address reinstated and the DNA's reinstated. Puzzeled that she could do this I said sure, go ahead. Of course, when I turned the receiver on I found no DNA and San Diego LIL were still showing. So I went to my account on-line and saw that my installation address had been changed back to Santa Cruz, my old address.
Is there any connection between this accounting record and what is really happening in their master computer that manages the channels I receive? Shouldn't the change have happened instantly or could there be a delay of some time? I have to wait a few days before one of my teams is televised to see if that change took effect. I suspect that if I call back and talk to a different rep they will spot the confusion and challenge my moving back to my old address.
