Selecting which channel to record on

I'm running my 722 in dual mode. When I set something up to record, is there a way to be able to select which channel (TV1 or TV2) to record on regardless of which TV I'm using at the time?

I had the "Record Plus" option set up to prefer recording on TV2 since we watch TV1 95% of the time. If I disable this option, then recording from TV1 uses the TV1 channel instead, but I thought there was an option to select this when setting up the timer. Any ideas?

In dual mode you can enable the option to force tuner 2 first. If you disable that option, then TV1 timers will use tuner 1 first and TV2 timers will use tuner 2 first.

There hasn't ever been a way to specifically tie a timer to a specific tuner when defining the timer (other than the OTA tuner of which there is only one of course).

I don't use Dual mode myself, but I have noticed that if I I am recording two shows at the sametime, TV1 is the Higher Priorty Recording, and if I use Autotune, and record at the same time slot, AutoTune is always TV1, and the Recorded show is TV2.

Maybe in dual mode when you set up your shows or daily events, have what you want to watch, setup as a Autotune. That way the recorded event will be on TV2 tuner.
