What satellite and transponder are these locals on? And if I vacation in georgia and take a receiver with me will I be able to get my locals?

I believe you will find the Beckley Bluefield DMA HD locals on Spaceway 2 at 99 degrees on transponder #3

How far away is the vacation place in Georgia from home?

I ask, because if you're outside the footprint of the spot beam you'll get nothing.

Locals are on spot beams. You would be far outside the spot beam in Georgia.
