Does the 721 use the time that shows on the guide for starting and stopping pre-set recordings?

I just noticed today that my guide time was about 20 seconds slow compared to my 721 info time which is the correct time according to my internet (atomic clock I believe) time. I called dishnetwork to ask why the difference between the info and guide time and the girl told me she didn't know, it was the first they had heard of it, and to do a re-boot by pulling the card out. Well, I didn't know how to open the card compartment (Do you have to use a screwdriver, it looks like there's a slotted screw) and she wasn't sure either, so she told me to do a power button re-boot. I did, and after that the guide clock was staying a little over a minute behind. I noticed after the guide clock would get about ten seconds behind after the minute changed on the real time, if I hit the guide button on the remote to change from all sub to all chan or vi-ca versa the guide clock minute would change to match real time but then would fall back to a minute+ behind.

Anyway, will the time being off on the guide throw my recordings off?

Sorry I can't answer your original question, but to open the card compartment, simply press (with your finger) the slotted area that you're referring to, and the door will pop open. Do not pry. The raised "slotted area" you're seeing actually says "press".

Thanks for the reply! After reading your post I got my flashlight out and can see it clearly says "push".
