I'm sorry if this has been covered, but I sure can't find it in a search. I'm trying to schedule a recording remotely using the DVR Scheduler at m.directv.com. Specifically, I'm trying to record programming on my local RSN (FSSW, channel 676). No matter what I try to record, nor which way (manual or by show), I get this message:Your request to record that channel could not be completed because it is not part of your subscription package. Please visit directv.com for more information. I just lost 45 minutes of my life that I'll never get back, talking to the most useless (nee, harmful*) DirecTV CSR ever, about this problem. We finally determined that recording through the "full" guide on www.directv.com works, but she has no clue about the m.directv.com scheduler and basically told me that I'll "have to use [www.directv.com] instead".

What gives? Who do I need to call to get this straightened out?

*at one point, she said my account had never been "upgraded" since I got my HD DVR, and promptly changed something that made me lose MGM-HD and who only knows what else. Fortunately, I caught that and she turned it back on.

Any ideas?

Hmmm...that is most strange. I just went to the address you provided, and here is where it really took me:

http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/mobile/

Try using that full url and see if the results are any better. I got a button to "Continue" and it gave me the login screen, and I got in just fine, and was able to submit items for search, etc.

Give it a try and report back.

Same thing. I can search for shows, but nothing comes up on that channel, and if I try to do a manual record, I get the message I quoted, no matter if it's during a "premium" sports event or not (i.e. it's not blackout related).

Bummer...perhaps you can try re-registering? (I don't know if it gives you that option, but if it does, I'd try it).

never tried it with an rsn so I am not sure, but it it possible its more of a browser/os on the phone/pda?
used it on wm6.1 w/ opera browser with no issues, again no rsn item though.

Does the same thing from Firefox and IE on a desktop as it does on my G1.

Does anyone else have any ideas here? Should I play CSR roulette and try to get someone with a clue next time?

I have the same issue, DirecTV is apparently "escalating" to Engineering.

Anyway, can you successfully record ANY channels?? Or do you receive the same error message regardless of what channel you attempt to record? Cause I can log in just fine, record channels like 73, ESPN-HD, but have not successfully been able to record 552, HDNET movies, even though I do subscribe to that channel.
