New locals, SI which is a English language Latino channel added to AT150 by the end of the year, HD Net, HD Net Movies coming soon rumored for August 15, possibly some additional HD channels as part of a new rumored ATHD package rumored for September 1. Nothing else as far as we know.

There are lots of new channels available now that DISH does not offer... why have we not seen any new additions of any real channels in a looong time???... other than HD stuff which I can't watch and international stuff or shopping channels... I think we should get some new channels...
My wishlist:
Oxygen (i want to watch the Oprah aftershows)
Fine Living (I love FOOD and HGTV, i think this is a hybrid of that)
Lifetime Real Women
Tennis Channel
Reality Central (when it comes on)

DirecTv has had Trio for a good while now.

Charlie says that he listens to what people request and adds programming that is in high demand. Partially true, but I think he also listens to what the big media companies are pushing. Betcha that "Soap Net" was added more to placate ABC/Disney (in retransmission consent negotiations for ABC affiliates) than it was to satisfy hoardes of hungry soap devotees.

He does listen but to both sides. Sometimes he listens to his wallet too.

How about just some better pq, I don't need the the Chess Channel, The Paint Drying Network or Sam TV: Tv for those who's name is Sam or who's a Sam at heart. Just a little bit less compression and no new channels for a while.

Trio Trio Trio
Is Is Is
For For For
Me Me Me

(BTW, They used to shoe The Raccoons on it when it was a canadian channel.)

You are right about PBS kids. Charlie HAS PBSYou which carries the same school-type stuff that affiliates carry. (remember the non- Standard Deviants?)

Jacob S

Charlie says you can watch this stuff on another channel anyways and that they already have enough of that content anyways and that they wanted too much for the channel than what it was worth when it comes to PBS kids.

That won't wash as the same can be said for most of the programming on the themed Discovery channels. Only Discovery Times seems to offer some original programming (but not much).

I would like B-Mania, Trio, and Goodlife.

B-Mania looks so cool, yet nobody seems carry it.

Does anyone get this channel?

New channels do not cost Charlie anything. The costs are always passed along to you and me. I say any new channels to be added shoud be in another teer and those that want it can pay for it. I have the AT100 and do not watch 90% of them. Ala carte for everything would be even better, but that would effect Charlie's pocketbook.

Thats what I was meaning, you misunderstood me. I was saying that when it costs him money, it would cost us money, therefore being passed along to us. Him paying 30 cents for it, us paying 60 cents for it (as an example). Yeah, it may cost him something in the beginning until the cost gets passed along to us then it does not cost him anything in the end anymore.

I want Ovation, Good Life and PBS Kids.

I would then be a super happy camper.

New channels do not cost Charlie anything. The costs are always passed along to you and me.Sorry, jerryez, but that's not the way it works. Does McDonald's set the price of burgers based on the price of beef? Does Wal-Mart set the price of greeting cards based on the price of paper? No, the price of products is mostly based on whatever will maximize profits, period.

So if you know that charging $40/month will maximize profits on a tier, and those profits are $2/month, what happens when you add a channel that costs $0.10/month? Your profits go down by 5 percent. IF adding that channel gives you enough new subs to counteract that loss from everyone else, then it's worth it. Frankly, there aren't many channels with that kind of impact.

I'm tired of saying that I want PBS Kids, Trio, College Sports, B-Mania, and almost anything else, because I don't think Charlie is going to give us anything new. Unless it's bundled in with a rights renewal for some other channel, or until he throws us a bone with the next rate increase. When DirecTV gives me a deal that's good enough, I'll be sure to let the Dish CSR know exactly why I'm leaving. Someday. Maybe. ;)

Russian radio Channel "Kanal Melodia" (that is shown currently FTA at Lyngsat's G10R, at Tarbs platform) :)

I want the MTV and VH-1 suite channels as well. If a channel does not cost them much more to add then they would not have to raise the package price each time. Its over time with several channel additions along with an increase in programming cost that would lead to an increase in the package. Its also what the market can bear. If the package price is not increased when a channel is being added it is costing Charlie until he increases his prices.
