Just wanted to let anyone that wasn't aware know that Best Buy is running a 30% off sale on 'non-new' Blu-ray releases. If you check out BestBuy.com you can get an idea of their sale prices. Some members over at HighDefDigest.com are reporting that the sale prices are showing up on some pre-orders (though that would seem to be against the intent of the 'non-new' prices being restricted from the sale).
I took advantage of this sale to grab a copy of the Best Buy exclusive release of The Green Mile on Blu-ray. (It's a great movie, supposed to be a decent transfer, so it should be worth the $$). Regular pricing would have been $29.99. Discounted it was $20.99 + tax.
Additionally, both Best Buy and Amazon.com have had a price war going on for Horror movies and several catalog titles. If you search for titles at Amazon you can check pricing to compare. Again, folks at HDD.com and other sites are hoping that Amazon winds up pricing matching Best Buy (and they likely will) so that price war benefits more people.
If you've not built up a BD collection yet, there are a bunch of possible cheap buys out there in the software side that you can enjoy on the cheap hardware.
