View Full Version : Problems with ESPNNEWS(Channel 142)?

Is it just me or is anyone else getting temporary breakups on ESPNNEWS the past couple days? I have a strong signal strength of 122+ so that's not it, and it's just on this one channel. Anyone else seeing what I am talking about, it's really hard to describe what's it's doing other than slight breaking up.

Yes it is only that channel, it really bothers me. I guess it has been doing it the past week. Very frustrating!!

I've noticed the same thing on The Food Channel.

Me too! (Food station kind of breaks up now and then, but it is pretty normal. Didn't notice anything on ESPNnews.)

Both Food and ESPNews come off Transponder 4 are any other transponder 4 channels displaying problems? It sounds like too much compression trying to put too much information through the funnel and runnig out of bandwith.

Call Dish and complain about it!

Game Show Network (also from transponder 4) has been doing this a lot lately. 1 or 2 second freeze-ups about every 5 minutes. Kind of annoying.

I saw it on GSN also. The screen did say trying to acquire satellite signal but I did not check signal strength.

According to Lyngsat on TP4 @ 119 are the following-

Food Net, Game Show, ESPNews, ESPN2, both C-SPANs, QVC, Flix, TEN, Playboy, 4 mono Muzak channels, 3 CD Muzak channels and Dish Instant Weather.
