If it puts CART in front of a potentially larger audience, then it's a positive move. Speed isn't on basic cable and has very little in the way of non-NASCAR programming.......It's a good move.
Appearing on CBS and USA makes good sense because:
1) Your Fortune 500 companies want to be where they can be seen.
2) Ad revenue might come non-automotive sources.
3) You have a greater chance of attracting the accidental/casual viewer.
4) You lose the stigma of being "niche."
There's probably others, but that's just off the top of my head.
