Today I received a hard copy of my Dish Network bill in the mail. Funny thing is I've been on auto-pay and paperless billing for a while now and have been part of the Cinemax for a penny deal. Then this afternoon I received a phone call from Dish Network with a pre-recorded message stating that since I was an auto-pay customer I would now be enrolled in paperless billing automatically beginning with next month's bill. Very strange?????????
Anyone else getting this message?

Similar happened to me a year or so ago. Notification was not patently obvious as to what was going to happen.
It briefly caused minor confusion as my accountant, aka 'the spouse', wants a hard copy of all my transactions.

Any time you "update" your credit card info (New expiration date) or replace an existing card with a new one or initiate credit card auto-pay, the default setting is paperless billing.
Did you do any of those things?

No, none of that. I've been on autopay for many years and paperless for over one year. What I recently did do was contact Dish about the Platinum HD charge and that was quickly removed. That was two billing cycles ago. Seems like they're making extra work for themselves now. I already have everything they now say I am being "switched" to.
What the pre-recorded message did say, though, was since I was already an autopay customer I would be switched to paperless billing automatically beginning with my next bill. Very strange, and a waste of time and effort.
You could be saving money here, Charlie, instead of chasing your tail.
