MS is offering computers with Windows7 and little else. ARSTechnica calls them crapware-free. They do have a nice compliment of full version MS software.

Not only is Microsoft reselling select Windows 7 PCs normally sold by its hardware partners, but the company is making sure they come only with the software it wants. Yes, that means that if you buy a PC from Microsoft, it won't come with the usual "crapware," though it won't be a clean install either. Microsoft is still bundling its own software, including Windows Live Essentials and Microsoft Security Essentials, as well as Adobe software.

Here's one (reasonably priced) example:

Expand the "Before You Buy" tab to see what's pre-installed.

Desktops are a bit pricey though.

Interesting choice of words.
Apparently the term "crapware" applies only if it's made by someone other than Microsoft.

Microsoft truly lives in a glass house when it comes to crapware. :nono2:

Buy a Dell from the business side and get just the OS, nothing else.

While I usually build my desktops, I always purchase my laptops. The first thing I do is reload my purchased computer with the OS of my choice. Yes, it can take time finding all the drivers, but my machine is always more stable after a fresh OS install.
