View Full Version : Is the NHL and CI guide data wrong or just confusing?

I consistently find that the guide data for NHL games (in particular the Comcast SportsNet and the CenterIce channels) is wrong. One channel will claim to have a game, but it will be on another channel (the auto-search feature that activates when I go to that channel works most, but not all of the time). I'm typically looking for Sharks games, so could this be due to blackouts?
Does anyone else experience this? Is there a trick to understanding how to read the guide?
I think you need to give an example of the issue you are having. Occasionally they list a game in HD, but then it isn't shown. Aside from that, there are a few reasons that I can think of that might cause you to see a game listed, but you can't view it:
- If you live in market and there is a dual feed listed on NHLCI, you won't be able to watch the opposing teams feed.
- If you live in market and the only feed for the game is coming from the opposing team.
- If you try to view a game on one of the MSG HD RSN channels. Unless you live in market, you will not be able to watch that channel.
I personally don't like the UPCOMING: messages on the guide. I would like it better if the channels without an active game on it showing blank. Makes it easier to guide surf on the nights when there are a lot of games going at the same time.
