Have any of you experienced TV DX (When OTA signals from hundreds of miles away suddenly appear?) Currently, I am getting a weak, but sometimes watchable signal from Buffalo, NY. (WGRZ Channel 2) It tries making a good picture, but keeps fading in and out, like another DX station is trying to take over. (Probably from Canada.) Same thing happens when Canadian channels try to come in also.
BTW, Because of this, CCI is appearing on channel 4, but hey, I got the DISH local channels!
I havn't encountered this personally but it is a known phenomonon that happens in certain areas at certain times of the year.
There actually is a website devoted to this but I don't remember the name or URL.
I'm sure someone will post it.

It is the Hepburn Tropo Ducting forecast. Take a look!

Ducting brings in tv/fm stations from hundreds of miles away. Sporadic E, a common event in the summer months brings in tv/fm stations from 1-thousand plus miles away. Music_beans was probably watching Buffalo via Sporadic E. I can occassionally watch KOTA in Rapid City and can pick up FM stations in Sioux Falls
from time to time. One great web site is: www.dxfm.com
