Anyone know what would happen to the now devilsh SA* when 61.5 and 148 are laid to rest?
And how come some local channels (In my area PAX and NETV) are not available on the spotbeams off of 110? (They are on 148)

Nothing.

Dish does this with most markets, The Top 7 nets(ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, WB, UPN, PBS) are on the main sats(119, 110), the lesser nets (PAX, TBN, Univision, etc.) on the wings. Dish does this so it can offer more markets for local channels.

In larget markets one independant channel is also usually available on a main satellite. (KNWS-51, Houston, for example). Oddly enough, Univision channels are also now on the main sats for some large markets, like Houston. (This makes no sense. If someone wants spanish locals they probably got a side dish anyway to see those, why reduce the PQ by cramming Univision onto the spot beam?)

Forgot to tell you, NETV is PBS from nebraska. That should be on the main sat too.

It also depends on how much room in on the spot beam transpinders covering your area. The beam that serves Buffalo is almost filled to capasity, thats why our only PBS and our UPN is on 61.5, which is a good thing, less compresion on local channels I actually watch including ABC and CBS home of NYPD Blue and the CSIs and I got a free dish out of it so it doesn't matter to me.
