Any tips on how to get by the call screeners for Charlie chat or the Tech forum?

:soapbox: Anyone have any suggestions on how to be able to get on the tech forum or Charlie Chat? Everytime I call I have to deal with some flunky that does'nt have a clue to a question I want to ask on the show and there for never can get on.

For example tonite I wanted to ask the Winegard antenna guy what the differences were between a standard analog outside antenna and these new "HDTV" antennas. The screener had no idea what I was talking about but still would'nt let me on air.

It just makes me mad that they ask for you to call in but you have to go thru a bunch of BS and they still won't put you on. :shrug:

Ok enough of my whining :D

My thought? Antennas aren't built for analog or digital reception. They are built to receive certain frequencies. You need to know which channels you want to get, then buy according to local conditions such as distance from transmitters, strength of signal, obstructions...

Can I get a job as a screener?

I have seen some people ask one question then get another question in there or ask a different one than they say they are going to ask.

I had the same problem as u when trying to get on. Next time I'm going to call up and say I want to ask Charlie for his birthdate so I can send him flowers or something.

Ask easy or stupid questions and sound "mentally challenged". It worked like a charm last night for most of the callers.
