For the past several days when I log into Dish Sling Guide I get a "Website cannot display the page" and "HTTP 500 Internal Server Error" message. I get this on several browsers and on three different computers at home and at work. Has anyone been able to get into Sling Guide recently?

Not down for me. I went there earlier this afternoon.

I assume you are using "dish.sling.com"?

If so, it could be a DNS routing issue from your ISP... or it could be a load-balancing thing at Dish where some people are routed to one server while others are routed to another.

If its a DNS issue, you'd have to deal with your ISP... Otherwise you'll have to give Dish Tech Support a call and see if they are aware of any problems.

Thanks, Stewart. I go to dish.sling.com and that login page comes up OK. I then sign in. It recognizes my user name (email address) and password OK. Then it goes to dish4.sling.com with a long string of parameters following it just like it always has. That is when I get the HTTP error. I get this from both work and home which use different ISP's. It has been that way since sometime last week. We were on vacation before that so it might have been like that for several weeks.

Hmm...

I didn't actually try to set any timers... but I was able to see my receivers and switch between then and see existing recordings, so I knew it was actually connecting to my receivers.

Sling Guide came up this morning -- first time in a few days. Apparently the dish4 server was down. Thanks, Stewart, for your response. The lack of any other responses to this post, one way or the other, makes me suspect that there are very few people using Sling Guide. If so, that's too bad as I think it is a very useful tool. I go through a large number of programs and movies, pick what I want, and record it much easier and faster using Sling Guide. My girlfriend also uses Sling Guide to put in programs she is interested in. She refuses to use the DVR interface as she finds it too complicated and is afraid she'll screw up the DVR.

Thats funny!
My wife has turned her laptop into her remote, using Sling Guide. She just loves the interface.
