How to record 3 shows [Archive]

I am looking to upgrade my equipment to be able to record 3 shows.

I have a hr21-100 Thinking about adding ATSC tuner AM21 however I can not find out any information that I would be able to record 3 shows at a time.

I also was looking to find a HR20 with a ATSC tuner however same thing can't find any info if that would record 3 shows.

Does anybody have the answers or have these setup

With the HR21 and AM21 combination you can only record two shows at the same time. You'll need a second DVR in order to do that. The HR20 is also limited to just 2 at a time.

On a side note: They will record a third show if it is a download from the 'net.

The most you can record at a single time is 2 sat and/or OTA. The only time you can do 3 is if you consider DoD as a feed.

If you want 3 sat/ota, you'll need 2 or more DVRs.

With HR20 with a ATSC turner that would be three turners so I would think you can do it so it would be 2 SAT and 1 OTA ltittle confused from the posts.

Nope, only two at a time. Unless you count DOD as one.

The current limit is 2 items recording from satellite and/or OTA. You can have 4 tuners (2 sat and 2 OTA), but only 2 can record at anytime.

You can also download DOD from the network as a sorta "third" record.

What you need is a second HR :D Just know that means an extra $5 a month lease fee for an additional box.

Go with 2 DVRs like I did and you get to Record 4 Events, 100 Series Links and alot of storage capacity.
