I went to order the Pacquiao/Cotto fight and was surprised that I could not order the PPV using the remote.
But I received an email from D* promoting the fight that had a big "Order Online" button right in the middle of it. So I clicked the button and ordered the HD feed of the fight. I thought the $10 surcharge for HD was a bit steep.
Shortly after ordering the fight online, I get an order confirmation email from D*. It basically says thanks for ordering the fight and then gives the details of my order: What I ordered, what channel it will be on, what account number the order was billed to, the price, and (surprisingly) it listed an access card.
When ordering there was no place to select which receiver. I have 4 receivers in the house. The access card listed was the first one on my account, which is in a non-HD receiver.
I called customer service and got Trevor on the line to try and change which access card could get the fight. He says that when ordering online or with the phone service that ALL receivers on the account will be authorized for the PPV. This doesn't seem right to me, because I know when I have ordered PPV's before (using my remote) they have only been available on the receiver that ordered the PPV, the other 3 did not get the PPV.
Any of you know anything about this? Is Trevor feeding me bull? Do I need to call D* again tomorrow and try and work this out?
Thanks,
Choir
