I know this may sound stupid...but,
How do I get AWAY from paperless billing? The account is in my wife's name and the notification goes to her email address...one I don't check routinely. I need that paper to remind me to pay the bill....Sorry, I may be a little absent minded...but the job I have keeps me busy as hell these days..and it's easy to forget a bill or two.
Is there a way on the web? I tried and looked but didn't see...CSRs just want to try to talk you into going paperless...and I just don't want that. I am paperless right now..and need to go back...but I don't want to waste my time with some CSR if I don't have to.

Why don't you just sign up for Auto Bill Pay?

I do believe that you can go from paperless to paper with your online account.

Not fond of direct debit.
Too many people, too many databases, too many hackers with too much information available.

yes you can. i already have. you just go into your account. not sure where but its there.
Go to your account online and pull up your last statement. Then scroll to the bottom and you should see "Cancel Paperless Statements", which is a link to cancel it. I haven't tried it, but it should allow you to cancel paperless.

Or you could just change the e-mail address on file and get the statements in your e-mail account...

You might have to scroll down to see it.
Then you'll get this:
"Are you sure you want to cancel paperless statements and receive printed statements in the mail again?
Your ability to view statements online will be discontinued in 30 days".
And click "Yes,cancel"
And it should be that easy.
I've never done this, but DirecTV should start sending you a bill the next time your billing cycle comes around(If you want the current one you will have to call and ask for it to be sent).
Or you could just change the e-mail address on file and get the statements in your e-mail account...

;) This is what I would do.

It really works. After you click it, it tells you that you can also access your online statement for the next 30 days or so....then you start getting paper statements in the mail again.
I didn't like the online format-the paper statement gives you more info about your receivers and such...and it also includes a "DirecTV News" brochure along with coupons for discounts on the shopping channels that you DON'T get with online statements so I switched back.

I use auto bill pay on every bill that allows it. I've never had a problem with it from any company but I also ensure that I still look at every bill every month to see what charges are taking place.
