Panasonic TC-50PS14 and 1080P/24

I'm looking at buying this TV today. ASccording to Panasonic this TV supports 1080P/24 palyback 2:3 but not 1080P/24 Cinematic playback. Will this accept the 1080P/24 pay per view and convert it to 1080P/60?

Yes, it will work. I have last years model and it works perfectly fine in 1080p/24.

I believe that it will convert it to 1080p/60 to display. Kinda defeats the purpose of 24fps.
