Today I switched from the Premium Package to the "Select" package.
My account page lists the package as "Total Choice Select" for $39.99.
I was told this unadvertised package is only available to current customers,
and was basically the same as the Choice Package but without many of the
music channels. It suppose to come with 118 channels.
The "TOTAL CHOICE SELECT package" thread does not correctly list the
available channels, I checked, and the CSRs are less then helpful.
Does anyone have a list of the channels in this package ??
Thanks!

I'd say you were in the best position of all of us to generate this list. I'd be really interested yo see this myself.
TOTAL CHOICE SELECT is part of an older channel tier that DirecTV has moved away from. Most of the members who've been here more than a few years will probably remember the Total Choice Premier package, etc.
Total Choice Select is a package that sits between 'Family' and 'Choice'. It is usually offered to customers who are having a hard time economically and are considering suspending their account. It's also offered to low-income subscribers who want more than the family pack has to offer but can't afford the Choice pack.

If it has ESPN ESPN2 and SPEED, I might switch myself.

That would work if the "Channels I get" list in the guide was even remotely working right. Unfortunantly, to get the accurate list, he will have to select ALL channels, and go one channel at a time, and write down the ones that actually come in.

Before you get too excited, you may not qualify to switch to this plan.
And unless something changed recently, most CSRs don't even know what it is.

Nop, first thing I checked... some channels I get are grayed out and some I don't get are not grayed out. Its not working right.
I guess I'll have to select and confirm everything myself.

I found it very very easy to get it out of them.
It went something like this (all BS of course)....
I called you guys the other day and spoke to someone about reducing my costs. She told me about your unadvertised "Select" package for $39.99, could you please more about it and if it includes.... and so on. Ok, please switch me over.

The Select Package includes ESPN/HD and ESPN2/HD but not SPEED.
