Tonight I felt as if I've been forced back to the early days of higly compressed signals and SD locals. The picture quality was so, so bad tonight I couldn't watch the game. It was so blury, it started to give me a headache. God I hope they do something about this channel...:nono2:

Haha my wife and I were commenting on how the picture looked like it was 1982 again.
How about the three or four complete blackouts of the picture including the Sharks first goal? Quickly shunted to a commerical break, it seemed like they were trying to fix something I guess. And how about the audio quality too? It sounded like I was listening to the game through a seashell!
I wonder what was going on last night.

Oh yeah and the HD feeds on nhl.com from Rogers Sportsnet last night look terrific from this game!
Thanks Comcast for not bringing this one to us in HD, even though it was also filmed in HD.

Actually I have not seen video this bad since the very earliest days of color TV. Even on a 52" 1080p set it was hard to read the clock most of the game.
And let's not forget the audio....the entire game carried at a fraction of the level of the preceding show, and either a deaf audio man or a very old fashioned slow-recovery limiter taking Randy Hahn's voice level way down and then allowing slow recovery.
But I bet Comcast saved a few bucks not paying for the HD feed. Must be to pay for all the 'talent' they're using for the pre and post game shows that are almost totally devoid of content.
