Greetings,

I live in Charleston, WV (25320) and have been trying to find WWE SmackDown (which is broadcast on MyNetwork TV) without any success. It airs on Friday nights at 8:00PM. I have seen where some areas get it at 8:00PM or 10:00PM on channels such as 48 (for example)... but I can't seem to find it in my area. I was wondering if anyone could help me locate it or even see if it's available?

-Thanks

It looks like in your area MyTv is a sub-channel on NBC.

3 is NBC/3-2 is MyTv.

You would need to use an off air antenna of some type and a digital tuner.

What would you recommend?

not sure if you area does this or not? but up here in Columbus Ohio, FOX rebroadcast Smackdown on Saturday nights around 1:30am. because not everyone has access to the ABC's sub-channel it originally airs on at 8pm Friday nights. so you may want to check out your local listings to see if they do the same.

I have searched for 'SmackDown' and 'WWE', but I can never find it. Could the GUIDE list it as something else or perhaps not even have a description?

from what i always seen, it was the same description as what was listed for Friday nights. it could be that the networks in your area don't make a offer to watch it on Saturday nights.

oh, if you really want to watch the shows. i think Hulu has some on their web-sight. you may want to give that a try untill you can get a OTA antenna installed as mentioned earlier.

Your HR20-100 has a built in off air tuner that will put Smackdown in your guide. You just need the Antenna. If your the DIY type you can start by looking here http://tvfool.com/ or http://www.antennaweb.org/aw/welcome.aspx to get so ideas.

I'm reviving this thread :D

samrs,

I think I'm about ready to get an antenna and make this work. I found this link, showing all the Broadcast channels for the Charleston, WV area...

http://tvlistings.aol.com/listings/wv/charleston/broadcast?scheduleDate=20100219&scheduleTime=2000&hid=BCAST564&provider=broadcast&zipcode=25320&refresh_ad=0

Are these the OTA channels for this area? Would I be able to get all of them? Also, I noticed that 3.2 is in HD, and 3.2 is the sub-channel that carries MyNetworkTV (as was stated above), however, the broadcast of SmackDown isn't listed as being in HD (although I believe it originally is)...?

Update - WWE SmackDown on MyNetworkTV is broadcast in HD according to MyNetworkTV's website.

http://www.mynetworktv.com/newsletter/index.html

Scroll down to the Friday section.

If the show is broadcast in HD, and the sub-channel it's shown on is in HD, then why would the show not be shown in HD?

-Thanks

Because the guide data is wrong. :(

MyZ TV 3-2 does not broadcast in HD. If they did, it would look horrible because there is not enough bandwidth to broadcast both 3-1 and 3-2 in HD, and 3-1 already looks bad because 3-2 is taking some of its bandwidth.

Edit: The TV listing link does not show WWE in HD. But for a better idea of what is available OTA, go to antennaweb.org and key in your zip code and it will show you all digital channels available and what type of antenna you would need.

I have the same issue. I've found Hulu to be my best bet. Why WWE decided to put one of their best shows on a channel nobody gets is beyond me. No HD & hard to find = Failure

Isn't there a weekly re-broadcast of Smackdown on Universal HD? For some reason I thought there was, but I could be wrong. IF there is, then all you need is the HD Pack.
