Kobe Bryant Charged with 1 Count of Sexual Assault

Kobe Bryant on Friday was officially charged with 1 count of Sexual Assault. If convicted he could face 4 years to Life in Prison.

While he may be guilty of being a bad husband in this case to be sure, it's still quite possible she's a gold digger. It will all come out. And it's likely to get really ugly.
I thought something had to have happened but I didn't think it went as far as it did.

Bryant is a scumbag for cheating on his wife and dragging her into the limelight like this. If he was married to my wife he'd be playing in the WNBA now.

The rape trial will boil down to he said/she said. He'll have a lot more credibility and do much better on the stand than Mike Tyson did. Another plus is Bryant doesn't have Don King speaking for him. I'll have to reserve judgment until evidence is made public.

I wonder if Karl Malone and Gary Payton are happy right now? They take much less money to get a ring and one of their star teammates might go to prison.

This just shows you how the NBA is in severe trouble regarding off-the-court activities of their players. I heard somehwere (either on TV or even perhaps this forum) that the NBA is a niche sport/league for street thugs. However, good players (and good people) like Larry Bird and Michael Jordan come on the scene and we're disillusioned by what's really going on in that league.

That said, I thoroughly enjoy college basketball. These guys play for the love of the game and it shows on the court. Quite frankly I respect people who go to college, get an education, and put the NBA on the backburner while they compete in the NCAA. The Bryant, Garnett, and now James type players I have absolutely no respect for. Skipping college is an idiotic move regardless of how much money you'll be making in the pros. Just think, when they're 35, they'll have the same education of that of someone leaving high school, someone 17 years younger.

Kobe will come out of this smelling like a rose. This young girl is old enough to know better. Why would she be going to his room in the first place? For an autograph? :lol: I don't think so. Kobe was setup in my opinion and this young woman is stupid. I find it funny that some of her friends or people that know this girl were saying she's young and very good girl and all that. I find this a little bit hard to believe if she's going up to hotel rooms and such to meet one of the worlds most famous basketball players.

Kobe was setup?? Are you saying she planned all this.. ?? I think that's a little far-fetched.. Kobe's a dope. period. He's got the world by everything (NBA superstar..big Nike contract etc.. and he let his wee-wee do his thinking). I can't wait to see what this young lady looks like.. better than Kobe's wife??

I thought he was a stronger person than that..
