My wife just called and wanted to know when I ordered Angels & Demons on d* cinema (ie, pay per view.) Funny thing is.. I hadn't - we've never, ever, ordered anything before. I don't even think we *can* order ppv as our receivers aren't connected to a phoneline or the internet. My understanding was that we would have to call on the phone or do it online, which again, neither of us has done.

She said it looks like 2 minutes of the movie has been watched - but didn't want to try to view it for fear of charging us for it somehow. I checked online on our account and the most recent billing activity doesn't show any PPV charges but I'm not sure how quickly the would show up. I'm wondering if d* is doing a free preview kind of thing or something? Anyone else have this show up on their receivers? I guess I will call customer service this evening when I get home from work to check it out.

I don't want to get into a big mess with having a bunch of PPV stuff charged to our account and trying to get it off of the bill - especially because I *know* it wasn't us since you can't even order via the receiver.

Same thing happened to me. It showed up sometime between last night and this morning on my HR22 DVR. I deleted it without watching it. It showed (to my understanding) that it was a total 2-min promo of some kind. At least that's the way it looked to me. If DTV piped in that to a lot of us, I'd guess that it was meant to catch our attention to try and drum up PPV business. There is no charge appearing on my online acct so I'm not concerned other than I'd rather DTV not do this kind of thing, assuming that it's not a widespread glitch.

Hey NRS - It's just a preview for the movie, not the actual movie. Runtime of 2 minutes. I watched it and then deleted it.
