I've got a 4.5 year old Toshiba 50" RPTV. This morning, it decided it doesn't want to turn on. I pulled the plug, waited a few seconds, then plugged it in again. When I hit the power button on the remote, I can hear a relay click (or something similar), the front panel power light comes on for a second, then starts to flash. Then nothing else happens.
I called the dealer I bought it from. He suggested it might be a power supply problem. They charge about $80 to pick it up and return it, and I'm not sure what for the repair. He didn't want to give me a quote until they actual had a chance to look at it. I can understand that.
My question is - what should I expect to pay for replacing the power supply? Is this something I could possibly do myself? How much do I put into repairs before I punt and replace it with an HDTV unit (which we were thinking of doing this year anyway).
Thanks!
