I apologize if this issue has been discussed. I searched it but came up empty.
I am getting audio dropouts on this unit of up to 5 seconds on either live or recorded HD broadcasts. It is hooked up via HDMI (no optical connection). The signal is from DTV on a HD DVR (HR-22-100).
I have switched out cords to no avail...when hooked up directly to my LG 60inch HDTV there is no problem. When I listen to the same audio thru wireless headsets hooked directly to the DTV receiver I do NOT get the drop outs. However they are present when running the same audio thru the Samsung unit. I have contacted Samsung and they seem lost with regard to this issue.
I even returned the unit to Best Buy but the problem is still present. I can watch up to several hours of either live or recorded programming and not have a problem...just when I think it's gone...BAM...hello, here it comes.
It has been suggested to me that the issue came about with firmware "upgrade" sometime back.... but I have no idea if that is true or not. I would appreciate any ideas that can help:(
