sorry if this has already been discussed but I am seriously thinking about getting a sling box. I would like to view it from my cell phone as opposed to a lap top computer. I currently use Verizon as my cell phone carrier. Can anyone suggest a verizon phone that would work well for this use, or should I switch to another carrier. Thanks in advance for the help.

I don't know Verizon phones but anything that runs the Windows Mobile OS should be able to use Slingplayer mobile. I use it on my Samsung BlackJack II, which is an older phone. Of course a data plan is required.

www.slingcommunity.com is the best place to find out those kind of questions.

With the Palm Pre getting Flash 10.1 next month, the Sling.com site should work.
I can hardly wait, I miss Sling.

I use the Blackberry Tour. However, the only blackberries that are officially supported are from At&t and support wi-fi. Nevertheless, crackberry and the sling community have the download links that make it work without going through the website. I use the Bold software on my tour. It is the .11 version, but the .20 version works as well.

It works beautifully in 3g areas. I enjoy it immensely. I have never been able to get it to switch to audio only without locking up the player. The quality is better than I expected.

It does use the battery up at a good clip though.

I use a HTC Touch Pro 2 on Verizon's network and it works great. :)

Dittos! I use the Slingbox app for Windows mobile on a HTC TP2, also. Works great! Something that actually works for a change!:D

Us poor Android users are getting the shaft so far. I heard Sling isn't gonna do anything about it either...
