Has anybody had issues viewing a few pages of threads that won't load up on ie8 on WinXP SP3? I've been having this issue off and on with ie8 for a few months(I see it less with ie8 and vista at work but its still there). I can pull them up fine in Firefox. I have tried compability mode and that hasn't help. I know the simple answer is to use firefox, but any ideas or comments?

I have three different PC's using both WIN XP SP3 and IE8, but have not noticied the problem you describe. Are there specific URL's in question? If so, I could try them on my systems.

Here's an example of one. Works in Firefox but not IE8.

Working fine here on Vista and IE8 and on Win7 and IE8. Don't have any XP PCs to test on (other than in XP Mode on Win7), the last one died last month. RIP old notebook, you did me proud.

I personally dont use IE8 (I like IE6 more if I'm going to use IE), however one thing I noticed you didnt mention which I beleive is an important factor, is whether you are running Windows XP 64-bit, or 32-bit?
I would assume that you're running 32-bit, so I could grab one of my test environments and try it out. If you're running 64-bit, I'd have to make some calls to see if I could find someone to replicate your problem.

A few other things, Do you have the latest version of Flash and JavaScript?
Have you tried adding dbstalk.com to your list of trusted sites?
Does the page refuse to load at all, or does it only partially load? (Specifically, do the advertisements load?)
(Subtext of above question, it makes a difference if the you get a 'page could not load' or 'page did not respond', versus the page partially loading then stopping at a point).

I was able to access http://www.dbstalk.com/showthread.php?t=169733&page=4. Although the URL references 'page=4', the Thread only consists of 3 pages, and I was able to navigate from page 1 through page 3 both backwards and forwards without any issue.

32 bit WinXP.
I'll check on Flash Version, Java is up to date.
Site isn't in trusted zone, but well over 90% open fine.
I never get the page not found or page not responding, I think it has a problem rendering the page.
