Dishplayer dropping recordings

Anyone else see their DP dropping recordings lately? Several times recently, things set up to record have not been there in PTV later. At least twice I have seen the recoding start and it still disappeared, including last night when I actuall set it to Keep while the recording was going and still this morning, noe recording. Some things are recording fine and it is not bumping older stuff off. I have an 80 GB hard drive in this thing and I am nowhere near capacity on it. This almost seems like what would happen a few years ago.

Check the timers. When I had my DPs I saw this on occassion. I found that when this happened, shows that were originally recurring timers, once a week on the timer list, had "changed" themselves to "record everytime". Each time one of my timers exhibited this behavior, it either failed to fire off or did exactly what you described. I once watched a recording "end" in this state. The picture blinked and the recording was gone, but the timer remained at the top of the list, insteading of going to the bottom.

If you find that your timers have changed themselves, delete them and then reset them. Then check them regularly, to see if they swap out again. I had expecetd the switch to the new guide would correct this bug.

I should add that we have no recurring timers on this dishplayer. All of the problems are with timers set up to record on a specific day and time. We usually sit down each week on Sat or Sun and plan out all the stuff we want to record that week. We started soing this because the recurring timers used to be so unreliable and never got out of it.
