Recording “To Be Announced”

The Broncos @ Eagles game is on channel 715 for next Sunday but channel 715-1 says “to be announced” on the guide. If I am not going to be here and need to set that to record today, should I go ahead and do a manual record on 715-1 for the “to be announced” and hope it records the game, or is there another way to do it to make sure the game records. I have seen this before so I know that 715-1 on the guide will eventually be the game but I won’t be here to record it when it says that.

Only way to be 100% certain is a manual setting.

As posted in your other thread. You can do a manual record and add an extension in case the game runs long or if you have access to a PC or mobile phone you can check for any last minutes changes and use the Directv Scheduler.

Yes, similar to my problem

Was wanting to schedule a manual recording for an upcoming show that's more than 2 weeks in the future. Its a movie on Hdnet movie, 552.

Saw a commercial w/ the time date and channel info, adv 3+ weeks out. Is there any way to use the manual rec'd when (date) area of a manual programing that is out that far?

I thought the options used to be where you could scroll down by any month and then by numeral day... now its just 14 days ahead like the guide limits.
