UPN station added to Columbia Locals

I noticed it was turned on today..... It is on channel 63 or 924....... That's the UPN for Columbia, SC...... I think it becomes WB soon...... I'm not sure what the difference is but I'm glad it has been added......

I know the TWC feed was prone to frequent dropouts (back in Dec 2001). I assume the feed was via fiber, since they had such a time getting the cable company to add the channel.

I am getting excited!! However, I just saw one freeze during a commercial break. On TWC, the screen used to go completely blank. However, it has been over a year since I had cable.

I had the local channels until this past week...... The UPN station was awful on TWC...... Do you think WIS 10 needs to be a little brighter? I will watch the UPN station today and see if it freezes up any.....

When compared side-by-side with DISH's WXIA feed, WIS is considerably darker. A lot of it depends on the show. For example, the back-to-back Law & Orders the other night were almost too dark to watch.

I called WIS and they said directv has a problem with WIS PQ and was in the process of fixing it..... I'm glad it's not me...... When that is fixed, the locals were pretty damn good...... I was happy ot WQHB added..... I noticed it is out of Elgin, SC (according to the guide)......

I have called directv about WIS and I would call again but it is hard to reach a live person..... If you email them, they tell you to call them...... LOL.... I will probably call them again next week..... I noticed the captions not working on most of the locals.....
