Hey all, brand new guy here looking for MDU information and I have a few questions regarding the Dish Network Digital MDU packages if someone can help...

• Are Dish Digital MDU customers eligible for the DISH National Offer? Meaning, if I lived in an apartment are my offers the exact same as a residential customer?
• Do MDU customers have to sign a 2-year contract? More? Less?
• Is the DISHMover program eligible to MDU customers? How many moves do they get and what do they cost?
• Do customers get locals with Dish in MDU or is it $5/mo extra?
o All their prices online (except the Bronze 100+) are $5 less per Month
o Ex: The Americas Everything Pack is listed at $97.98 for MDU but $102.98 for Residential
• Do Dish customers need a receiver or is it required only when they upgrade to HD or DVR?
• Are their HD and DVR fees the same in MDU as it is in Dish residential?

Thats all for now, thanks!

The answer to most of those questions is "it depends."

There are several forms of Dish MDU (http://www.dishuser.org/mdu.php). As I was told at CES, there is much room for negotiation between Dish and the local MDU. Could be a head-end setup with a limited number of channels, could be a Private Cable Operator who handles all customer contact, could be just an installed distribution system with customers getting regular subscriptions from Dish.
