WWE Raw in HD????

Hello fellas. Just wondering what would be the chance of having WWE Raw in HD????? Would that be a decision based soley on TNN or WWE? If anyone knows anything please fill me in. Thanks

WWE in HD would look great, but there has to be some economic incentive for Vince to shell out the extra $$$ for HD equipment. WWE produces their own programs and incurs all the costs themselves. TNN doesn't have an HD version of their channel so HD RAW ain't gonna happen.

If WWE tried HD, it would be on PPV and would have to happen after enough sets were available combined with enough paying HD PPV customers - again, not likely any time soon.

Good news for wrestling fan though, I have learned that Hulk Hogan and Jimmy Hart are working on a deal with HD net to offer their XWF Wrestling over HDNet in full HD.

Also talking to friends who work for the WWE I would NOT be surprised to see WrestleMania 20 in HD, the big question would be will the HD feed be made available to home users or just by sports bar (ala Closed Circuit HD feed). I will tell you this if my local sports bar had WrestleMania in HD and HD was not available to home users I would spend the money and go out to the sports bar for the night. :)

I believe that the equipment used by WWE for their broadcasts is actually rented from Unitel. I wonder if Unitel has a HD truck.
