Some friends moved there. They want SA, and bought a home with a 500 dish. I wondered if E will give them a free 61.5 install so they can get all their locals?

According to EKB, Albuquerque has 3 stations on 148.

So, yes, they can get a free install of a Dish 300 with the switching necessary to pick up those 3 channels on 148, but not on 61.5.

There are 3 stations on 148, 2 religious and 1 spanish. I live in se NM and alb. Is my "local" even though I live 300 miles away. I get 148 for the HD content only.

Talk aboput good and bad news. Snce they are defuinetely getting SA will dish provide a 4 slot switch?The newer receiver models apparently can handle cascaded switches;
119, 110, and one side slot (east or west) into the SW64, then
an output from SW64 and the other side slot (west or east) into
an SW21. Do the same thing for two other outputs into another
SW21 if you have two receivers. Remember that the SW64
output #1 requires power directly from the power inserter,
which can complicate things somewhat.
I do not think DISH is likely to provide the SW21's or install
the four-slot configuration, even though the customer can
receive subscribed channels from all four slots. They didn't
do it for me, although in my case it would have required a
receiver upgrade. But it won't hurt to ask.
By "newer", I think that I mean the 301, 5xx, 721. All of these
also happen to be DISHpro-capable.
Sky Angel pricing has gone up. It's now $12 per month,
or $120 per year. The last time I checked, a lifelong
subscription was still available for $450, but was not
actively promoted. I'm glad we got one for ourselves
and one for my parents years ago when it was a better
bargain. No more subscription fee, ever!
