View Full Version : Dish Brand
I heard that all the dish are made from NASA perhaps labeled with different namd brand. is that true?
I'm planning to buy WNC dish listed as 24".
Are there 24" dish out there? I see many 18" but haven't seen or heard of 24". I'm new to this. How much does it cost?
Any comments or suggestions are GREATLY appreciated.

The 24" dishes are actually an oval dish that is 18" X 24". If you need one to receive your locals, call Directv and they will sell you one (including installation) for a good price. Otherwise, you can find them for about $50 on EBay. This is what the oval dish looks like:

Thanks for your quick reply!
I saw many from eBay listed oval WNC dish as 18"x20".
Is it 18"x20" or 18"x24" or there are 2 difference sizes?

Which brand do you recommend (RCA, KTI, Terk, WNC, etc.) ?
Thanks!

18"x24" is the older 3 slot dish, 18"x20" is the newer 3 slot dish.
No real difference in dish brands to speak of.
I called them when locals became available in Tucson and they
came out and installed it for a great price, Free.. It will also
work for HDTV when I decide to go that route..
