View Full Version : My receiver dies and now TWC gets last laugh......
When I called to cancel my local package at TWC, the lady ask me to consider the customer service before I commited to directv and I laughed at her..... Well by golly she is getting the last laugh..... My receiver died and directv told me to call hughes and I can't reach a live person to save my life........ This is just stupid......
I can hear my ole lady saying, I told ya so......... *&*^&%$$#...... Oh well, I guess I will be going back to TWC...... I'm not gonna buy a receiver and I can't take all the headaches when trying to call Hughes......
Sorry to express my anger but this is terrible.......

Did you buy from a local retailer? If so, call him and he can get your receiver repaired. If you bought online, contact them and get a replacement. Or check with Hughes and find the nearest service center. They can repair your system for you.

I prefer the Hughes receiver because it can be repaired easily.

Sounds like a job for Directv customer retention. I'm sure keeping a customer is worth a new reciever to them.If it isn't there insane.'The squeaky wheel gets the oil.'

I have the protection plan, mainly because a TiVo costs quite a bit to replace. It's $5/month extra and gives you the same "customer service" that cable does, including the availability of a tech to come out to your house to troubleshoot your system.
