triple lnb dont work! new just installed

just install oval dish wit triple lnb, i dont seem to be receiving any kind of signal? no trees in the way. what is wrong?

Did you enter your zip code and get the three settings for your area? Then use a compass to get the general direction to point the dish?

You should make sure the stand or pole is plumb, and set the skew and elevation then swing the dish slowly in the direction you set with your compass. When you hear the signal meter on your TV and setup screen start sounding off, you should have it.

well, maybe i could try again...i received the channel info, but no video or sound. is it more technical to try to install a triple lnb? when i installed the single lnb, it was simple.

I don't know if this is the issue but I'll throw it out.

When I bought my Sony HD-200 satellite receiver I had a similar problem. I installed the receiver, mounted the new dish, but I couldn't get a signal. (I had installed my own system twice before so I knew I had done everything correctly.) But when I compared the aiming information on my new Sony receiver to my other Sony receiver in the other room, the info was different. So I ignored the aiming info on my new receiver and followed the instructions from my old receiver. That fixed the problem. For some reason, Zenith (who makes the HD-200 for Sony) had the incorrect aiming information loaded in the unit.

Like I said, that might not be your problem but I thought I'd make you aware of my experience just in case.
