Well as you may remember, I'm from West Virginia. We just have Farm Use pickups and P.O.S. K-cars that we convert to to theme cars.

I thought it was a K-car also, but under close inspection it is actually a Ford LTD (the small kind, not the crown victorias that cops use). Basically it succeeded the Fairmont.


BTW: Ford made a "LX" model of the small LTD, and it had a Mustang engine and suspension. Its a pretty cool sleeper if you can spot one.

...actually, the Crown Vics go way back to the fifties, long before the Ford Fairlane arrived on the automotive scene. I owned a Mercury Zephyr, the Merc version of the Fairlane, and it ran for more than a quarter of a million miles before the wheels fell off.
