Not sure what you mean.
You need a blu ray player? You need a display? You need a receiver? You need speakers? Sub? They all depend upon many factors. What exactly are your needs?
Do you need bass traps? Accoustic panels? Lighting schemes? What exactly are you looking for in this "home theater"?

My needs are very simple. I current have a DVD home theater with everything straight out of the box. I am looking for the same for Blu Ray, I can watch Blu Ray and DVD in surround sound.

Can't you just hook up a blu ray player?

Despite what the Marketing department tells you, what you currently have and what you're looking to get, have no resemblance to a HT.
If you're taking the initiative to move the current Horrible Theater in a box to a different room, use this opportunity to break free from past mistakes and put together an actual system. Determine your total budget for the equipment you need (receiver, BD player, speakers) and then plan accordingly. You'll be much happier in the long run and you'll have a system that is easily upgradeable.

Ditto...I upgraded my HTIB to a real system (for a small room) & it's like night & day.

Believe it or not, there are "some" good home theater in-a-box setups available (price for quality). It all depends what kind of budget you have, and what type of gear you're comfortable with. My buddy has an excellent Harmon Kardon HTIB, and - its actually pretty good.

The only good systems are around the $1000 mark (or more). With a bit of looking around, you can piece together a better separates system for that same price. So, yes, while I believe there are some god HTIB systems, they're still a waste of money.
I agree that separates are the way to go, but the OP is looking for a system that would have wireless rears. That being said, he's pretty much limited to an HTIB unless he chooses to go with wireless rears such as the Rocketfish rear speaker kit from Best Buy.

And I'm trying to talk him out of that requirement.
