I have to make up an available programming brochure for a retirement home that has a community antenna system available for DirecTV satellite A only. I believe this would include all of the standard definition channels in the Family, Choiice, and Choice Xtra, the so-called premium movie services (HBO, Showtime, etc.) and the pricey sports packages (Sunday Ticket, MLB, etc.) To keep things simple, I do not want the this brochure to include anything that this system cannot support, meaning no Sat B or C programming, and no 99/103 Ka.

One internet dealer cobbed together for me a page that they then reproduced by color photocopy that is unreadable by a person with even 20-20 vision and which only lists the contents of the three packages, but not the premium movies or sports. Further, it is cluttered by all of the HD inclusions that will not be available here.

I have poked around on DirecTV's site as well as the satellite forums, but have not yet found a package contents lists that are in any simple text format, such that I can edit them for distribution. Can anyone point me to a text list of the three Basic Channel packages, and the premium movie and sports packages.

Also, is there any standard definition PPV left on Sat A?

(Moderator: Oops! Typos in the thread title. Would you edit the title to read: "Editable/printable"" This is looking like that old gag eraser that has printed on it, "I never make big misteaks"

The Wiki list of Directv channels (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_DirecTV_channels_%28North_America%29) might help you.

Also, if by Sat A, you mean Sat position 101 channels, you could try the Lyngsat list of 101 channel (http://www.lyngsat.com/packages/directvusa101.html) and start with channel 100, since 1-69 are regional networks.

The standard def PPV is still in the 100-200 range on sat 101.

Unfortunately, it would take me days to ferret out and collate the information I need from that Wikipedia page. What I am looking for is some printable lists that lok like this:

1 The Family Package: Over 50 channels ... Includes:
Bloomberg TV
Boomerand
BYU
<snip>
The Word
SonicTap Music Channels - 5"

2 The Choice Package: Over 150 channels. Includes:
The 101 Network
A&E
<snip>
World Harvest TV (WHT)
SonicTap Music Channels - 55"

3. The Choice Xtra package: Over 210 channels....

I would then delete the HD references and reduce the number of channels to match what is left.

Then, I would edit the HBO/Showtime/Sunday Ticketetc. descriptions to limit them to whatever is on Satellite A also.

To get this, all I did was go to the channel listings for the package, selected print channel lineup, cancelled the print, then copy & pasted the info here.

So far, so good. I pasted the Choice channel list onto a blank Notepad document and used the "tab" key to get the channel numbers into a straight column, but it appears that some of those channels might be on Satellite B (119), so I'll have to use a Satellite A list to ferret them out.

Here's a spreadsheet I put together real quick. This way you can sort by channel name or number if you want.

I didn't include local channels, regional sports nets, or music channels. I don't know what locals or regional sports nets you would have, and the music channels are going to be changing soon anyway.

And BTW, related to this mention of what is on "Sat A," "Sat B," "Sat C," can anyone explain the test channel guide labeling on chs. 560-569 for the Ka-band signals?

I mean why are the "odd" Ka channels of 99 and 103 listed on "Sat. A" (101) and the evens of 99 and 103 on "Sat B (119)?" :confused:

According to the frequency stack plan shouldn't both the odd and even Ka channels for 99 be listed only on Sat. A at 101 and the odd and even channels for 103 on Sat. B at 119?
