Anyone have trouble recording Friday Night Lights last night on DVR? I have it set as a series recording and it just recording a black screen.
Sorry - but it worked fine for me. I watched it off the DVR last night. Great episode.

My HR20-700 sometimes records what appears to be a black screen. My workaround is to directly tune to the recorded channel and then try the recording again. I have no idea why but it corrects the problem and the recording then works fine.

That's happened to me too in the past and only with that channel (with my current DVR). If I'm home, I always tune to 101 before it starts. If I do that, it has no problem recording.
There is a re-air tonight I believe.

You also should be able to download off of on demand. Not sure how long it takes to show up.
What a great show. This and Trailer Park Boys are worth the price of DTV. Just my 2 cents.

Dont mean to hijack your thread....BUT, I am new to Directv and I was watching TV tonight and noticed the FNL was one I havent seen.
Did Directv get the show back exclusively and it is now no longer on a major network?
How much of the season have I missed, because I did not recognize a bunch of these characters....GRRRR
Thanks.

DirecTV has a deal with NBC to help keep it going, DirecTV gets to show them first then NBC (I think they'll start showing after the Olympics). If you have a HD DVR and it's connected to the internet check out channel 1101 for episodes that have already aired. IIRC next weeks Wednesday is the last for this season.
