Underbelly on 101

Tonight I watched Underbelly on Channel 101. I was surprised that Directv cannot make the closed captioning work for their own channel.

I had to struggle to catch a lot of the dialogue, which was in a very idiomatic Australian accent.

Why do you think they cannot close caption their own channel?

Actually for most shows on the 101 , the CC works fine, it could just be that particular show. I occasionally use it for Friday Night Lights or Deadwood and it works fine.

If you couldn't understand the dialogue, maybe the CC folks couldn't either and gave up. :D
